Grouchy Legwarmers

I LOVE leg warmers.  LOVE them.  And, I LOVE super quick knits.  LOVE them.  This pattern is the best of both of those worlds.

Best leg warmers ever!
Best leg warmers ever!

I was on my way to a roller derby bout a couple of hours away and REALLY wanted some new leg warmers (I get cold.  All. The. Time.)  So, I used the car ride on the way there to make one leg, then made the other on the way back.  I’ve loved them ever since!

There is only one size listed, and the warmers stretch a HUGE amount.  When I first finished them, they looked like they’d be snug on my super skinny gams.  However, after one wear, they were falling down to my ankles.  So I ran an elastic thread through the tops and bottoms to fit my leg.

I wear these leg warmers with the purl side of the stockinette fabric on the outside.  You may, of course, wear them however you’d like.  They’re reversible!  And everyone says they look like Oscar the Grouch.  Awesome!
