Tundra Hood – this adorable hood can be knit out of a single skein of Fleece Artist Tosca in no time! Designed to be roomy, this hood wont muss your hair, but still keeps you toasty warm.
Vitis Scarf – this 100% silk scarf uses an open lace pattern to mimic the ripe fruit and undulating tendrils of the common grape vine. Using a single skein of Handmaiden Swiss Mountain Mulberry Tussah makes the scarf a luxury item for your neck.
Opal Scarf– a quick, easy knit in a wonderful alpaca blend. The light, airy fabric feels wonderful next to the skin. Knit all in one piece, the scarf features a loop on one end that keeps the tail secured around the wearer’s neck. A single skein of the O’paca, by Fleece Artist, will yield about 4 of these scarves.
Transatlantic Scarves – two coordinating scarves from one skein of Handmaiden SMS Silk Cotton. The triangle kerchief has a bold diamond pattern in all-over eyelets, and garter stitch ties; the neck scarf is a simple, 1-line open-work lace pattern. There are written instructions for both scarves, and a chart for the kerchief.
Garter Stitch Baby Set– a hat and booties set in garter stitch. The hat is knit flat and seamed. The booties are knit flat on circular needles and seamed up the back. The set was designed to coordinate with Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Baby Suprise Jacket. A single skein of Fleece Artist BFL 2/8 is enough for the jacket, hat, and booties.
Honey Bee Scarf– a luxurious scarf with generous fringe. This scarf uses a whole skein of Maiden Hair by Handmaiden. The simple 3-line lace creates an openwork pattern reminescent of honeycomb. The lightweight yarn of silk and mohair is sweet to the touch and suprisingly warm.
Sawtooth Shawlette – a petit shawl/scarf inspired by the beautiful mountains in central Idaho. You begin with the sawtooth border, then pick up stitches and work short rows for the body. A single skein of Handmaiden Silken or Double Sea is plenty for the shawlette.
Cape Creek Cashmere Set– a matching set including a hat and fingerless mitts to fit any adult size, inspired by the Cape Creek Bridge by Conde McCullough. One skein of Keji by Hand Maiden will complete either the hat or the mitts in any size, and two skeins will complete the set in any size. Knit in the round, a simple yet unique stitch pattern lends an industrial feel to an otherwise soft, supple, delightful design.
